In Hyderabad, a new startup incubator has opened its doors. Q-City, a multi-tenanted IT park in Gachibowli, has announced the opening of Q-Hub Startup Labs. As part of the laboratories, early-stage firms and entrepreneurs will be given free incubator space, as well as access to networking and mentorship opportunities, and investor connections. The Q-Hub will occupy 9,000 square feet within the Q-City campus in the Financial District.

Furthermore, the IT park announced the launch of Q-City Codethon, in which tenants of Q-City can demonstrate their coding prowess and win cash prizes worth Rs 5,50,000. The coding competition is open to all of Q-7,000+ City’s tenants.

“The Q-City Coding Challenge is the initial step towards what might potentially become a Hyderabad-wide or Nationwide Challenge, and in all likelihood, an annual affair,” said Q-City director Harry Criegen of Q-Hub and Q-City Codethon.
