As it watches the risks linked with the Russia-Ukraine war, Twitter stated on Saturday that it will stop adverts and suggestions in Russia and Ukraine to protect users from misinformation.

The business said it is examining Tweets proactively to detect platform manipulation and is taking enforcement action against synthetic and manipulated information that gives a false or misleading representation of what’s going on.

In a tweet, the firm stated, “We’re temporarily suspending adverts in Ukraine and Russia to guarantee essential public safety information gets raised and ads don’t detract from it.”
